Day 1. Kampala-Kibale National Park.
On your arrival you will be received by our representative, your driver/guide who will get you briefed about the safari. Depending on your arrival time, drive to Kibale national park, Fort Portal, passing via Mityana-Mubende road. Have a stop over in Mubende to visit the Nakayima tree. Have picnic lunch en-route and continue to Kibale forest national park. Arriving late afternoon, check in to the service of Kibale Forest Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest.
After breakfast, you will go to the park Offices for registration and briefing before you start the day’s highlight, Chimpanzee trekking. The ranger/guide will take you through tree identification, as well as in telling you about the primates and different features of the forest. After having lunch, take an afternoon nature walk through the Bigodi swamp to see swamp birds, primates as well as some of the community Based projects financed by tourism. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 3. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Depart for queen Elizabeth national park located in the the bottom of Albertine Rift Valley, driving along the foothills of (Rwenzori) Mountains of the moon, one of the great mountain ranges of the world. Entering the park with a mini game drive as you continue to your accommodation you may see different animals and birds given that the park has got about 95 mammal species and a remarkable 612 bird species. You later check in to the service of QENP. Bush lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Kalinzu Chimpanzee trekking.
Take an early excursion to Kalinzu forest for Chimpanzee trekking. This an extension to and the walk is wonderful given the different features of the forest. In the afternoon take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The channel is blessed with many hippos, solitary buffaloes, and a vast array of birds. Evening game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Bush lodge.
Day 5. The Ishasha Sector and transfer to Bwindi.
After breakfast, with our packed lunch, we start off to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, passing through Ishasha sector, well known for the tree climbing lion, or through an alternative route passing through cultivated expanses. We arrive at in the evening and check in to service of Trekker’s Tavern Cottages, dinner and overnight.
Day 6. Gorilla Tracking, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Early breakfast, proceed to the park offices for registration and briefing before starting the highlight of our activities; the Gorilla trekking. Encountering the largest and heaviest primates is an adventurous and memorable activity which can’t be easily erased on your mind. Tracking from Bwindi sometimes involves walking up steep densely forested hills; therefore some fitness may be required. After having packed lunch we come back to lodge, relax around, dinner and overnight.
Day 7. Return trip to Kampala.
After breakfast return for Kampala having lunch en-route. You will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home depending on your flight time.
