Lake Mburo National Park

Lake mburo National Park is the closest to Kampala and most accessible National Park in Uganda. It is a Savannah woodland park centred on swamp fringed lakes (Lake Mburo) and has a rich bird life(about 325 species) which includes key species like the Crested and Red-faced Barbet, Coqui Francolin, Tabora Cisticola, Emerald-spotted Wood Dove, Lilac-breasted Roller, papyrus gonolek, African Finfoot and the rare Shoebill. It also harbours dense populations of Zebras, impalas, Cliff Springers and the last surviving Ugandan population of Eland, the largest of African antelope.
