Peter Harrison's Testimonial

We had a wonderful time in Uganda with Paul Kaggwa. He was a great guide and very dependable.  Very polite, extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great time.  Paul met us at the airport and stayed with us for the next 2 weeks.  As a result, we spent a great deal of time with him and enjoyed his company immensely.  Paul is passionate about the animals and Uganda and shares this with you throughout the trip.

We traveled throughout the country ( Murchinson Falls , Chimp Trekking at Kibale, Queen Elizabeth Park, Lake Mburro ) and really enjoyed all of the places we visited.  We saw many mammals and a more bird species than I can recall.  However, the highlight was of course the gorilla trekking.  Truly a special and unique experience.  It was incredible that you could essentially reach out and touch these marvelous animals.

The lodges we were  in were all extremely nice and comfortable. Uganda was viewed by us as a bit adventorous and we never once felt unsafe during the two weeks. We did have elephants circling our banda one night which was exciting and a bit unsettling.  The people were extremely welcoming and we truly got a great sense for the country in our travels.

We had a great time and would recommend Paul to everyone.  The country is phenomenal and the people extremely welcoming.  We just need to figure out a way to get back and see some of the areas we did not have time to visit.

While visiting our daughter and husband in Uganda in March of 2008, six of us went on a 6 day safari with Paul Kaggwa of Terrain Safaris as our driver, safari organizer, and guide. Paul put together a wonderful trip after being given an outline of what we hoped to see. We began at Kibaale National Forest, and ended at Lake Mboro with stays at Queen Elizabeth Park, Bwindi and the gorillas, and Lake Bunyoni in between.

Paul brought with him Harriet [Paul -we can't remember Harriet's other name - will you please add it here?], an expert on birds which added another whole dimension to our experience. Paul and Harriet were a delight to be with: helpful, courteous, respectful and knowledgeable. The accommodations at various lodges were excellent and the roads traveled were adventuresome which Paul handled very well. In some of the locations, Paul had arranged for local guides to provide background information; in other situations, Paul led our group and fielded a variety of questions.

I would without question ask Paul to put together and guide our tour again if we should return to Uganda.
